Holy Fire Reiki Classes
Reiki is a spiritual practice established by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui in 1922.
The past decade has seen it take on a new popularity here in the west. It is now being offered in many health spas and gyms. It holds its own in yoga studios and can be found at almost all wellness clinics. It is even in use in a lot of hospitals under the nom de plume of "Healing Touch." Reiki is a healing modality that involves the use of healing hands. A Reiki practitioner basically channels what is referred to as the "Universal Life Force Energy" through their hands and into the body or Aura of the recipient. This is a very warm energy and can help with everything from physical pain and trauma to emotional issues such as depression. Reiki can also help a person get more in touch with themselves and the motivations behind their actions. The word Reiki can actually be broken down into two Japanese terms. While it is impossible to do a literal translation due to the many layers of meaning for each character of the Japanese language, Rei can loosely be interpreted, in a spiritual context, mean Divine Intelligence. The word Ki is the non physical energy that keeps everything alive. It is referred to in other cultures as Prana, Chi or Qi. |
There are Four levels of Reiki Practice. Each level is achieved by taking instruction and receiving attunements from a Reiki Master/Teacher. These attunements align you with the Reiki energies and allow you to begin giving Reiki treatments to yourself as well as other people.
Level I The first level of Reiki is very useful for EVERYONE. This is the level that is all about the healing of the self. When you receive the Reiki 1 placement, the energy allows you to become more in tune with your natural healing ability. It begins the process of clearing out your energetic system in order for you to channel Reiki. This level is, many times, enough for a person who does not want to perform healing on other people or are just concerned about aligning their own energy. People who want to be healers of other people or animals will move on to the second level of Reiki. Level II When they are ready, at least 21 days after their Level I attunements, the student may choose to move on to the second level which multiplies the amount of energy they can channel and introduces them to new venues in which to use the modality. They are given a set of sacred symbols that are used to help call on and direct specific aspects of the Reiki Energy. |
Level III
Reiki Master/Teacher/ART (Advanced Reiki Techniques) The student may wait anywhere from months to years to move on to the third level, but there is no set time frame and it varies greatly from person to person. When the third level is reached, the student receives the Master symbol and is mentored on how to hone the energy even further. This level is where a student becomes a teacher and is able to give other people attunements and set them on a course to enjoy reiki throughout their life. Pricing
